The "Constellation" litter
CH Entwood Athene was bred twice, the first time to Justyl's Bold 'N Spicy (owned by the Morants), which produced the 7 puppies of the "Constellation" litter (1994). This was, in our opinion, a most successful breeding, producing 4 conformation champions and a fifth who would have been without another of those "incidents" that are a hazard of competetion in the Dog Fancy.
The Champions were:
Am.DC Cn.CH Entwood Corona Borealis SC F. Ch.- Gale Snoddy-Melockoff Borzoi
CH Foxcroft Entwood Aquila - Angela & Peter San Paolo
CH Foxcroft Entwood Bellatrix - Angela & Peter San Paolo
CH Entwood Andromeda - Jaqui Kubiak
DC Entwood Corona Borealis SC, "Cora" was one of Gale Snoddy's stars at Melockoff Kennels in Ohio. Among the many competitors Cora produced, is our very own CH Melockoff Entwood Weekendwarrior F.Ch. (see his coursing page).
CH Foxcroft Entwood Aquila was used at stud by the San Paolos and Carol Kubiak - Zamora for a number of litters and Aquila appears in a number of Europen Borzoi's pedigrees. Entwood Ursa Major was embarking on a promising show & coursing career when she was attacked in her crate at the Laurel Highlands Borzoi National. She was fine at home, but unhappy when at shows or trials. She was too fine a bitch to not be used, so we bred her once to Cynthia Lastauckas' CH New Moon Why Ask Why SC. Seven puppies were whelped and are detailed on the "Seven Litter" page (q.v.)
