Obedience
or
"You want me to do what ??"
As some of you may know, my (Leslie) first love was and is obedience. I started with my first dog back in the "BBs" (Before Borzois); Leah, a Black Lab-Springer mix who looked like a Flat Coat Retriever. Leah garnered non-purebred awards by the basket full. When I got my first Borzoi, Corsair Russe, from Ann Filetti, I began training him. "Cory" sailed through his CD and CDX and was a member of the original BCDV Borzoi Drill Team. My second Borzoi, Russe Serendipity ("Seri"), also finished her CD. The Saluki (El Saqr Ariadne Tal Al Arz) also finished her CD in between her F.Ch. and CH.
The Obedience cup runnith over when our multiple BOB and group placing Borzoi male from the first Entwood litter, CH Entwood Aeoleus decided he missed the attention he got at dog shows and decided obedience was a good thing. He added the CD to his name with ease (for a sighthound, that is).
I continue to train (in between lure trials and dog shows, that is), even after my experience with coursing Whippet recalls ("Star")
"Yoli" finishing his CD and soaking up the attention
